\u201cWie wil mij als eerste iets vragen, vraagt Gerard Kemkers.\u201d Waarop zo\u2019n 15 vingers tegelijkertijd omhoog wijzen. Zo startte op vrijdag 29 januari een feestelijke opening van de Pannakooi bij OBS de Zuiderenk te Wijster; een betegeld speelveld omgeven met hekwerk, waar iedereen naar hartenlust kan voetballen, hockeyen en bewegen dus gestimuleerd wordt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Voorafgaand aan de offici\u00eble opening mochten leerlingen uit de groepen 7 en 8 ieder een vraag aan Gerard stellen. Waarom bent u begonnen met schaatsen? Welke hoogtepunten kent uw carri\u00e8re en mist u het schaatsen? Deze vragen waren slechts een greep uit een serie vragen die leidde tot een boeiend gesprek. Gerard gaf aan erg trots te zijn op zijn olympische medaille, al was het dan niet de kleur die hij graag wenste. Tevens beschreef hij zijn bijzondere periode van coaching van Sven Kramer en Irene W\u00fcst; \u201cdit zijn absolute topsporters die je inspireren en je continu vragen hun grenzen op te zoeken\u201d. Die prikkeling van hen om de beste te willen zijn, dat mist hij soms nog wel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Samen met Johan Brandsma, lid van de ouderraad, opende Gerard Kemkers de Pannakooi. Samen met enkele leerlingen werden de eerste doelpunten gemaakt, waarna het JOGG het stokje overnam. Het JOGG (Jongeren Op Gezond Gewicht) organiseerde diverse beweegcircuits voor de leerlingen uit de groepen 7 en 8. Hierbij werd zowel de beweegcourt als de nieuwe Pannakooi ingezet. Al met al een geslaagde en bovenal sportieve opening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De realisatie van de Pannakooi is mogelijk gemaakt met inzet van de ouderraad, ouders, vrijwilligers uit Wijster en diverse sponsoren: Dorpsbelangen, Kits Primair, Attero, Gemeente Midden-Drenthe, Stadsbeheer, Woonservice, Jansen Recycling, Vrieling, PreDesign, en Grondverzet Hulzebosch. Langs deze weg willen we namens de Zuiderenk iedereen van harte bedanken voor alle inzet!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
